After I rolled myself out of Friend of a Farmer, we walked over to the meat packing district to visit High Line. High Line was built in the 1930's and was used to lift heavy freight trains off of Manhattan's streets, but it has been recently renovated into a great rooftop park. There are nice views and all the old train tracks are in tact among the new plants-definitely worth a visit. I love the idea that they could have just ripped the train tracks out but instead they kept a piece of history in tact and made it even cooler.
