style: sneak attack

I spent the good part of Tuesday exploring London's Kew Gardens in another dress from Pixie Market that has been a go-to on this trip. After hours of taking in the gardens, I went to the Alexander McQueen exhibit at the V&A. It was quite the contrast to go from the peaceful gardens to McQueen's haunting, complex world. I've seen many fashion exhibits, but this was my favorite. Things with a little darkness tend to be the most interesting.

 Reading his quotes was the best part and I especially loved the one above. I'm inclined to agree with him. I like to dress in a way that's strong and confident because that's how I feel, but I surprised myself in liking such a girly dress. I don't really understand sugary sweet dressing normally. On the rare occasion though, it's a fun little secret to portray a soft image to the world, but to know you can completely shatter it the second you open your mouth. Like Alice in Wonderland, who initially seems naive, but can murder the Jabberwocky when necessary.
