easter bunny
This is the first year of my adult life that I painted eggs and I was a little curious while buying the supplies, is this more trouble than it's worth? No, no it's definitely not. As I child, I had all the fancy kits, but this year I went old school with food coloring only and it was even more fun. With a mere two packs of food color did you know there are 18 color combinations? Did you know they have neon now!?!?
These were the prettier batch. Truth be told I had quite a few mishaps. I didn't know that you should put the eggs in before the water boils. It makes the eggs crack. It really does matter how much time you keep them in the boiling water. It makes them explode. I definitely ran out of the room screaming "the eggs!!" after I heard the water boiling over more than once.
Is it weird I enjoy drinking more while doing childhood activities than at bars?
I am now over 100 followers so that means it's time for a giveaway! Check out my etsy shop and let me know if there is something you'd like to see given away. I may make something new. I'll surprise you. Thank you.
I feel the same way about drinking and doing silly things.. at my Easter party today we had bellinis and mimosas :) As for the giveaway, I think the Ariella star necklace is so gorgeous! I love how it's 3 dimensional, and the color is beautiful.

Did you make a kir? your cocktail is so pretty! And the flowers and eggs, too! And thanks for advice on the Garden Collection. I'm pretty screwed because they seem to deny me any cool collections at my local H&M :-(
ReplyDeletebeautiful eggs and love the bright orange nail polish.:) i really want your hot pink necklace from your etsy shop!! amazing. http://www.etsy.com/view_listing.php?listing_id=39840011
ReplyDeleteTrick for the eggs (its a lifesaver): Bring the water + eggs to a boil, but as soon as it starts to boil, turn off the stove and let it sit--COVERED--for 10-15 minutes (depending on how many eggs you've got in there, but go longer if you're not sure).
ReplyDeleteWorks every time :)
