solbar
I covered the drinking in Calistoga, now onto the food! We ate at Solbar, a Michelin star restaurant that seems to be universally agreed upon as the best restaurant in town among locals. We went indulgent and got a full three courses each. By the end, my Ever wrap dress may or may not have snapped open when I breathed too hard. I admit nothing.
cedar street tomatoes, house-whipped riccota, gremolata, and mission variety olive oil. Heirloom tomatoes, I will miss thee.
hawaiian yellowfin tuna carpaccio, avocado-cilantro mousse, ponzu gelee, pickled red plums, and steam bun crisps
painted hills ranch smoked beef shortribs, halfmoon bay butterbean pico de gallo, beer battered sweet onion, sweet corn
snake river farms bavette steak, potato chive agnolotti, sauce bordelaise, and garlic creamed leeks
warm chocolate brioche pudding, bailey's irish cream custard sauce
O...mmm..ggg... drool...slurp...slurp
ReplyDeleteThe food looks incredible. I wants me some of that yellowfin carpaccio!
